What you gonna do…
I’ve managed to complete the Office 2007 deployment kit, and work has been heavy going recently. I’m trying to expand my skill set, and looking at the UNIX HPC we have (High Performance Cluster). As with a lot of these things its a case of I understand the concepts and technology – we provide the tools and technology. I’ll need to get a clearer idea of how the UNIX and Linux Home directories work. I’ve been feeling like I need to get into something new work-wise.
I’ve spent a lot of time getting the Ashes of Freedom setting prepped in the wiki. Much of the history and political factions still needs work, but it has a fair bit of material now. I’m enjoying the whole creative process, and I’m looking forward to running it in November. I’ve got some an interesting – and evil – ideas… The first game should be interesting as I don’t think the group has ever gamed together before. Either way, there’s a good mix: dwarf rogue, human duskblade, half-elf sorceror, human fighter, and a human cleric.
The last few weeks have been pretty tough for me and I’m enjoying the chance to relax and unwind this weekend. I’ve been mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted. Fortunately, things have resolved themselves and my life is getting back on track! Despite appearances to the contrary it’s not depression – it’s just a serious time management problem!
I’ve also modified a few parts of the site and made it look slightly more streamlined. Nothing major.
I watched the new Stargate franchise, Stargate: Universe. Not sure how it’s going to work as it’s pretty much like Star Trek: Voyager, and the characters don’t seem that well defined.
