Waking the demon

Angel:  “You don’t even know what you’re up against, do you?  You’re gonna have to face your demons sometime.”

Marquez:  “What if I don’t want to face my demons?”

Angel:  “Then you’ll have to face mine.”

– Angel, TV series

Interesting quote really, and got me thinking after I heard something similar in True Blood. I guess a lot of people have their “own” – and that gave me an interesting idea! In RPGs, it’s always difficult to make an NPC (Non-Player Character) memorable, so I thought why not give them a demon: a secret drink problem, a lack of confidence, a lust for violence, anything negative that they may try and cover up. It’ll certainly make for some interesting characters in Against the Odds and other RPGs.
